Aeria 5 Plus

The Aeria 5+ is our premium mattress overlay system designed to meet the acute care needs of home or long term care environments.

Indicated for the prevention and treatment of skin breakdown and pressure ulcers in patients at medium risk, the overlay is constructed from 18 transverse cells – 5 inch 120 mm high – that cyclically inflate and deflate in an alternating pattern.

Cyclic alternation of pressure prevents arterial and venous capillary occlusion in surface tissue – maintaining and stimulating the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids through these tissues to provide essential oxygen and remove metabolic waste products.

This system also incorporates a low air loss feature (six ventilated air cells) to help keep the patient dry and regulate ambient body temperature.
