Featured to suit home or long term care environments, the Aeria 5 is an economical mattress overlay system indicated for the prevention and treatment of skin breakdown and pressure ulcers in patients at low to medium risk.
The overlay is constructed from 18 transverse cells – 5 inch 120 mm high – that cyclically inflate and deflate in an alternating pattern. Cyclic alternation of pressure prevents arterial and venous capillary occlusion in the patient’s surface tissue – maintaining and stimulating the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids through these tissues to provide essential oxygen and remove metabolic waste.
