The Aeria Mat Mattress Overlay System is indicated for the prevention and treatment of skin breakdown and pressure ulcers in patients at low risk – offering a practical alternative to static pressure care.
The overlay is constructed from 130 cell sections – 2.5 inch 65 mm high – that cyclically inflate and deflate in an alternating pattern.
Cyclic alternation of pressure prevents arterial and venous capillary occlusion in surface tissue – maintaining and stimulating the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids through these tissues to provide essential oxygen and remove metabolic waste.
